But I’ll be going to Singapore this coming Thursday to relax a bit right before my finals which will start on the 2nd of Nov (just when Arashi Challenge★week ends!!), looking forward to the Arashian gathering BBQ party! *high*

Challenge Week1

So I managed to bait a friend here in uni LOL

Apparently the battle was a vigorous one between Arashi and Super Junior in Channel V’s Battle of Pop: Japan vs Korea. Personally, I think it is unfair to put such strong competitors together in the first round. Being an Arashi fan, of course I went all out to vote for my idols, and I believe ELF too did their best. With votes hitting more than 35K, it is obvious enough that these 2 groups have the most supporters (or perhaps they just have more fanatical supporters^^;) compared to the other artistes when you enter the voting page.

It was really a battle in my opinion, Arashi fans wouldn’t have been so co-operative in working together to vote for Arashi if it weren’t for the ELFs’ teamwork in making SuJu take the lead in the first few days. ELFs’ co-operation made us Arashians realize “kono mama ja ikenai, Arashi is losing big time!” and triggered us to work hard too. Arashi and SuJu are really two very compatible groups, one day SuJu is leading, in the next hour Arashi is leading, next few minutes SuJu caught up, then Arashi managed to get a slim lead, on and off~

I must admit, I did visit talk pages of both groups. Just curious. Even after Arashi’s victory, I did visit the talk pages. And I must say, I am very disappointed at how some people reacted, and I am ashamed because we are actually from the same ‘family’ of Jpop-lovers.

It started off like this.

Okay so ELF thinks we have a secret weapon. It’s okay. Everyone has their own secret weapon. Be it love/team work/ determination, I’m sure ELF have these secret weapons too.

Then along came this:

No this is NOT TRUE. What we saw is determination in ELFs, and we didn’t want to lose. It’s not about winning the battle, it’s more like “since they are that united, we Arashians will work hard too!”. Our sudden enthusiasm has got nothing to do with “I took a peek” or “secret weapon” LOL

And not before long, Arashi finally won. Man that battle was tiring indeed! My roomie had been helping out too!

Yes thank you. This is Arashi’s 10th year anniversary, and we really want to do something about it. It doesn’t matter if this Channel V thingy isn’t any great award SuJu has been winning. It’s okay. We love our adorable boys :-) And I think she’s right, we’re not angry at all! But rather than laughing (though the idea is highly amusing), ELF sparked up our determination that’s all. That, is a good thing! We encourage each other you see^^

Yeap Arashi won fair and square. But do you really have to go and bash people up after their idol just lost?! Would it even hurt to just give a few words of comfort instead of boasting that Arashi won?! Would you like people doing that to you if Arashi lost? 
I don’t find “peeking” shameless, though it’s not a very nice thing to do, but sometimes people are just curious!  Arashi won not because “they are better and far more talented”, Arashi won simply because they have more votes that’s all. And since you know her idol is called Super Junior (if you don’t, seriously are you living on earth?), why use the “don’t know who” or “you know who”? No, SuJu don’t R.I.P.!!! 
And I would like to just add, NO ONE IS TO BE BLAMED for SuJu’s loss. 

But I am thankful that fellow Arashi fans tried to soothe things up a bit.

The battle is over indeed, no point making small matters big. It’s not like Super Junior themselves will be anti-Arashi after this. Yeah I would want to see SuJu working with Arashi one day too! They would need a really big stage though, cause ALL the boys are hyper! XD

No one should be saying anything bad about any other groups/artistes. Both are very very strong groups! And yes we had fun competing haven’t we, Arashians? Super Junior is really super, even their fans are super!

I would really wanna apologize to ELFs on behalf of those who made things sour for us all. I hope there are no hard feelings among our two fandoms, and I pray that there will be this one day that our two fandoms will meet as one when our idols do collaborations together! Wheee~~~

A friend suggested that I should do all the songs in 5x10 All the Best album. So I was thinking, yeah why not? Since there are a lot of Arashi songs which I have not translated, so I can use this album as a reference to pick up my translations where I left them :-) Yosh! I'll start checking for songs in that album which I have not done!
